Ways to Bank

Other ways to bank for businesses

Find a branch or access to cash
Whilst there are many ways to bank digitally, we know that sometimes your business may still need to pay in cash and/or cheques. That’s why you can also use the Post Office® service and Multi-Bank ATMs to manage day-to-day cash and cheque transactions.

Ways to bank

If you’re an HSBC UK Business Current Account, Community Account, or Charitable Bank Account customer, the tips below could help you save time and may reduce costs when handling everyday banking tasks.

Make cash transactions without visiting a branch

Use ATMs and self-service solutions (including Multi-Bank ATMs) where possible

  • Use ATMs for cash withdrawals instead of branch counters. (Cash withdrawals at Multi-Bank ATMs are subject to availability)
  • Pay in cash at HSBC UK self-service solutions (including Multi-Bank ATMs) to avoid counter queues and reduce fees.
  • Some HSBC UK branches have self-service solutions outside that are available when the branch is closed (subject to service periods).
  • Cash paid in through HSBC UK self-service solutions (including Multi-Bank ATMs) will credit your account immediately1, with receipts available.

You can find Cash Access UK’s list of Multi-Bank ATM locations at Cash Access UK - Deposit services.

Use the Post Offices® network

You can use any of the UK’s 11,500 Post Office® branches, which may be more convenient than visiting one of our branches.

  • Cash paid in at a Post Office® counter will credit your account immediately.
  • You don’t need to set anything up – the service is available to all HSBC Business Debit Card and Business Deposit2 card holders.

Bulk Cash services (for high cash and/or cheque volumes)

If your business handles high volumes of cash and/or cheques, our Bulk Cash service may be suitable for your business. You can arrange for cash and/or cheques to be collected from or delivered to your business premises (subject to eligibility), helping you focus on running your business.

  • If you’re already using our Bulk Cash services, you could save money by reducing the number of smaller deposits, instead making fewer larger deposits (with notes and coins separated).

For more information, speak with your Relationship Manager or usual HSBC contact.

Depending on your business, you may find card and digital payments more convenient – including outside branch opening hours. You can explore:

They provide a Post Office® counter service where customers of most major UK banks and building societies can carry out everyday cash transactions, such as paying in and withdrawing cash.

Banking Hubs also offer a Community Banker service. This is where you can speak to a representative from your own bank about more complex banking needs.
