How overdrafts work

Your business bank account does not automatically come with an overdraft. However, it’s quick and easy to arrange an overdraft.

  • Arrange your overdraft

Apply to add an overdraft to your account. There will be an upfront arrangement fee, and the overdraft will be valid for up to 12 months.

  • Pay for what you use

Once set up, you only pay interest on the amount of the overdraft you use. This is calculated daily.

  • Renew your overdraft every year

The overdraft is normally renewed annually and a renewal fee taken. You can apply to increase your overdraft at any time.
