Finding other sources of support

Deciding whether to borrow? Wanting to put together a powerful business plan? Looking to invest your finance in the right way? Wherever you are on your borrowing journey, expert financial support could really benefit your business.

Perhaps you'd like face-to-face guidance from a mentor or want to access a range of resources through the Better Business Finance initiative? Maybe you'd like to use our online tools and checklists or access helpful information through business organisations?

Whatever support you're looking for, we're here to point you in the right direction.

Business mentoring

If you're looking for independent guidance and support from a different perspective, you can access a mentor through the online gateway Mentorsme. Set up by HSBC and four other leading high street banks, it's a great way to connect with organisations that are happy to share their wealth of practical experience and expertise with aspiring businesses. Using the simple search facility, you can find a mentoring organisation in your area that's suited to your business needs.

Better Business Finance

If you're looking for impartial information and support on borrowing, you can read about the Better Business Finance initiative at Better Business Finance. Developed by the Business Finance Taskforce and supported by us, it gives you access to a range of resources including factsheets, case studies and local events.

Deeds of Priority and Letters of Waiver

If you're looking to borrow from more than one lender, we may need to discuss your security arrangements with them. If so, please visit our guide to Deeds of Priority and Letters of Waiver to find out more.
