You can also access a diverse range of other everyday and international business banking service. Through Business Telephone Banking, you can:

  • get detailed information on copy vouchers (eg cheques and paying in slips) and request copies
  • get foreign exchange and interest rate information
  • order drafts, foreign money and stop cheques
  • enquire about business banking products
  • apply for certain products, including a Small Business Loan, overdraft and credit card

Please note: you must hold a business bank account to register for Business Telephone Banking

Business Telephone Banking security

When you use the Business Telephone Banking service, you'll be asked to enter your bank account details (sort code and account number or 16 digital card number) and your date of birth. We’ll then verify you using Voice ID (if enabled) or by asking for 2 digits from your Telephone Security Number, along with the reason for your call.

What happens if I forget my security details?

If you forget your Telephone Security Number and are unable to use the service, you can click the ‘Need help?’ tab to the right of your screen for assistance. Alternatively you can click ‘Launch the form’ and complete a Reset User’s security details form.

Stay safe and save yourself time with Voice ID

Our Voice ID is making telephone banking easier and safer than ever:

Easier - you won't need to remember your Telephone Security Number. Instead, you'll just need your voice to access your account.

Safer - fraudsters and hackers may be able to steal or guess your Telephone Security Number, but they can't replicate your voice. Voice ID can even recognise your voice if you have a cold or a sore throat.

How do I sign up for Voice ID?

If you already have a Telephone Security Number, we can normally enrol you straight away - ask one of our expert advisors the next time you call us. If you don’t have a Telephone Security Number, you’ll need to register for this first which you can do here.

How to register

If you're a sole trader, you can register by calling 03457 60 60 60. Lines are open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 2pm on Saturdays.

For all legal entities, you can simply click 'Launch the form' to complete a Business Telephone Banking registration form. Alternatively, you can access this form via the manage business tab once logged into Business Internet Banking. While logged into Business Internet Banking you can check your signatories and signing rule, this will help you with completing the registration form.
