Realise Finance: From Grassroots to Growth
How football and a fancy car led Will Blower to build Realise Finance.
Will Blower didn’t always dream of spreadsheets. As a football-mad kid growing up in Peterborough, his goals were more about the pitch than the page, until one afternoon changed everything.
“I saw the coach get out of this really nice car,” Will laughs. “I was curious, so I asked what he did. When he said ‘accountant,’ something just clicked.” That moment planted a seed. Will didn’t go to university, instead he went straight into an apprenticeship and worked his way up, learning the business from the inside out.
Fast forward to today, and Realise Finance is the firm Will built from the ground up. Launched in 2020, it’s now one of the region’s most trusted independent accountancy practices, known for its no-nonsense advice, fast replies, and refreshingly clear service.
“We’re not just number crunchers,” Will says. “We’re partners. We help people understand their money, stay compliant, and grow with confidence.” From self-assessment tax returns and payroll to full company accounts and limited company setups, Realise Finance offers everything small businesses need, delivered with speed, clarity and zero jargon.
And Will’s proudest achievement? Hiring apprentices of his own. “I started on the apprentice path, so giving others that same opportunity means everything,” he says.
Behind the scenes, reliable digital banking helps keep things running smoothly. “HSBC UK’s free UK digital banking1 is a game changer,” Will explains. “I can check payments, send invoices and track everything on the go. It gives me more time to focus on my team and my clients and maybe sneak in a five-a-side game now and then.” Clients love the fast turnaround, straight-talking advice, and human-first approach. And Will’s football roots still show in the way he leads his team: clear communication, a sense of momentum, and a lot of trust.
For Will, Realise Finance isn’t just a business. It’s proof that with hard work, you can take a sideline dream and turn it into your own version of success.
