When James Hamerton was five years old, he watched his dad Tony build Rhino Security from the back of a Bedford Rascal van. More than 30 years later, James is leading the business his father founded, carrying forward the same commitment to helping customers feel safe and secure.

“The business started as a small operation in a tiny office above an estate agents in Norwich in 1992,” says James. “We now specify, supply, install and maintain a range of security posts, bollards, barriers and street furniture to give people peace of mind and help deter criminal activity.” After building a career in marketing and sales, James returned to the family business when he recognised the opportunity to modernise and grow the business, and felt he had the experience to help drive it forward.

“Seeing my Dad drop what he was doing to travel across the country to support a client and give them a great experience really shaped my work ethic,” says James. “My dad was selfless and went above and beyond, and I want to keep those values at the heart of the business while making sure it’s ready for the future. Knowing he's proud of what we're building means a great deal to me.”
