Euromoney awards recognise HSBC UK's support for businesses at every stage of growth

Supporting businesses throughout their growth journey is at the heart of what we do as a bank – from ambitious start-ups and SMEs to scaling corporates and some of the UK's largest companies. That's why I’m especially proud that for the second year running, HSBC UK is the UK’s Best Bank for Large Corporates and UK’s Best Bank for SMEs at the prestigious Euromoney Awards 2026 (award formally known as UK’s Best Bank for Corporates).

The Euromoney Awards are widely regarded as one of the most respected accolades in global banking and finance; recognising organisations that demonstrate outstanding innovation, customer service and market leadership.

For me, these awards are particularly significant because they reflect the breadth of support we provide to businesses across the UK. Whether we're helping an entrepreneur launch a new venture, supporting an SME as it grows, or helping a corporate business expand into new markets, our focus remains the same: providing the expertise, connections and support our customers need to succeed.

Being named Euromoney's UK’s Best Bank for SMEs reflects our commitment to helping small and medium-sized businesses (€0-50million annual turnover)¹ achieve their ambitions. By combining flexible banking services, local relationship support and targeted growth initiatives, we're helping business owners overcome challenges, seize opportunities and build for the future.

Over the past year, we've continued to focus on removing barriers to growth by introducing free UK digital banking and removing monthly account fees, making it easier for business owners to access the banking services they need. We've also invested in programmes designed to give entrepreneurs the tools, insights and confidence they need to grow; including the Small Business Growth Programme, Women's Business Growth Initiative, UK Black Business Week & Show and My Business Finance.

Just as importantly, we've established a comprehensive regional client coverage model, supported by teams across 10 regions of the UK, helping us serve customers from start-ups through to emerging corporates. Having colleagues on the ground helps us build lasting relationships with businesses, understand what's important to them and provide the practical support and expertise they need to grow with confidence.

We’ve been named Euromoney’s UK’s Best Bank for Large Corporates recognising our ability to combine innovation, digital capabilities and specialist expertise to support scaling and large businesses (€50m+ annual turnover)². The award reflects the strength of our relationship-led approach, our deep sector knowledge and our ability to help customers respond to change, navigate complexity and pursue growth opportunities.

At the heart of our corporate proposition are the people who support our customers every day. Our regional directors work closely with businesses across the UK, backed by sector specialists who understand the opportunities and challenges facing different industries. Together, they help HSBC UK act as a strategic partner to our customers, combining deep sector expertise with tailored financing and support to help businesses identify opportunities and realise their growth plans.

The award also recognises the investments we've made in innovation, digital solutions and sustainable finance, helping us continue to meet our customers' evolving needs.
