Your Digital Security Device

The Digital Security Device is the digital version of the physical Security Device and is a feature on your HSBC UK Business Banking mobile app. You can now generate codes to log on, make payments and authorise changes anytime, anywhere without having to carry a separate device.

If you can still use your physical Security Device but would like to upgrade to a Digital Security Device, you can do that by downloading and setting up the HSBC UK Business Banking app. Find out more about the HSBC UK Business Banking app.

Never give out your codes to anyone. To find out more, visit our Fraud Hub.

Setting up your Digital Security Device

If you have an existing physical Security Device, you can set up your Digital Security Device by downloading the HSBC UK Business Banking app and following on-screen instructions. Once set up is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation from us that the Digital Security Device has been activated.

If your physical Security Device needs to be replaced, click on the ‘Need help?’ tab and start a chat with an agent. We’ll deactivate it, send you a Security Device Replacement Code and help you upgrade to a Digital Security Device or order a replacement.
