China on the March: Growing Outward Investment

China’s outward investment is increasing rapidly. Non-financial direct investment increased by 10.1 per cent in 2015. Investment in Europe was particularly strong, surging by 82 per cent year on year.

China’s M&A activities are increasing and are currently at record levels. This underlines efforts to diversify China’s global offshore investments, which are backed up by increased support from state-owned banks to encourage foreign trade.
